A recorded series on
Little "t" Traditions
The Filiae Laboris Mariae Sisters give insights into the various little "t" traditions of the church. What do they mean? How do they help us? Learn some of the background and depth to the everyday traditions that are part of our Catholic heritage.
As Catholics, we make the sign of the cross many times a day, especially during the liturgy. What does it mean when we do this?
Holy water is one of the most prized sacramentals in the life of the Church. We use it as we enter the church, and in nearly all of the ritual blessings of the Church. Why do we have it, and of what should it remind us?
One-time Lectures
Presentation on the feast of
Candlemas

Sister Bernadette-Marie
gives a talk on the feast of Candlemas, one of the more ancient feasts in the liturgical calendar. How did it come to have so many names? Sister gives some insight into the spirit of the feast.

A one-time recorded talk on
Mardi Gras
Often we wonder: what is the purpose of Mardi Gras? What was it originally and what should we really be doing on that day? Join Sister Agnes Mary as she gives direction to this religiously derived secular "feast".
A one-time recorded talk on
Ash Wednesday
Some of us approach this day with fear and trembling. (Or is it Lent that we approach like that?) How should we be looking at the opportunity to fast and pray? Sister Maria Magdalena gives insight into this season, the fundamental aim of which is the love of God.
